Hours that catch visitors out

Agadir time and daylight

Since 20 September 2026 Morocco stays on GMT all year, so Agadir is on the same time as London in winter and one hour behind it in summer; Paris, Madrid, Rome and Berlin are one hour ahead in winter and two in summer. Sunset ranges from about 17:15 in early December to about 19:45 in late June, which matters for Paradise Valley (daylight only) and for swimming: lifeguards work on Agadir beach only from about mid-June to mid-September, 08:00–20:00. Live sunrise, sunset, sea temperature and waves are on our Agadir weather today page.

Plan your day around the hours

Do the souk in the morning, when it is calmer and sellers are more flexible, keep the cable car and kasbah for late afternoon, and end on the promenade. Our trip planner builds the days for you around these closing times, the one-day and three-day itineraries are tested routes, and the price table lists every entry fee. Before you pay a taxi or a guide, check the fair-price checker and the common scams.

Questions

What time does the Agadir cable car close?

The cable car runs daily from 10:00 until late evening, later in summer, and stops in strong wind. The most recent guide gives 10:00–22:00; check the board at the Pont Tildi station. The kasbah enclosure at the top closes much earlier, at 19:00 (20:00 in summer).

Is Souk El Had open on Monday?

No. Souk El Had closes every Monday for cleaning and is open Tuesday to Sunday, roughly 09:00–19:00 depending on the stall. Sunday is the busiest day, and many stalls close for a few hours around Friday midday prayer.

What time does Agadir Oufella Kasbah close?

The walled enclosure is open daily 10:00–19:00, until 20:00 in summer and 16:30 during Ramadan, with last entry 30 minutes before closing. The panoramic esplanade outside the walls is free and stays open after the enclosure shuts.

What time zone is Agadir in?

Agadir is on GMT (UTC+0) all year: Morocco returned permanently to GMT on 20 September 2026 and no longer changes its clocks for Ramadan. That is the same time as London in winter and one hour behind Paris, Madrid or Berlin in winter.
